Just an update. Pink means an inevitable LCDC failure. It went black yesterday, just installed the new one today.

Sounds like the VGA board below the screen is headed south.

Here's a weird one. This machine has a black and white LCDC, but when it comes out of standby, or when you first turn it on, the display glows rose pink for about 10 seconds. Is this a prelude to failure? Screen functions are normal.
