    Let's make it clear.
if you have a Postscript3 SD card and it has nothing merged to it and let's say one sunny day you decided to make another Ricoh box having Postscript because you don't like this one jamming all the time you will just need to turn off you "bad jamming" copier, take SD with a Postscript and install it to the right (same as on the old machine) slot. Then turn on the machine and enjoy it - as simple as that. Postscript is not attached to the machine once installed, it's more of a license thing. Only genuine product can be used and upgraded.
    Hope it helps.

If there's a Postscript SD card in, for example, an MPc4500 and it hasn't had any application merging performed on it, you can simply remove it and put it into another MPc4500.

    It's that simple really.

If you really want to be sure that it works, try it. If you print out a config page from Printer SP mode then Postscript will appear in the list of installed printer languages.

Let's say that I have 2 bags, one of which has an apple in it. If I want the apple to be in the other bag, I take it out and put it into the desired bag.

    Consider the lilies...

They just called it wrong way - MERGE not installation But your knowledge is great - take the SD card cover off and stick it there fast... and will enjoy the consequences - printing heaven hehehe

Yeah I have screwed up a PS3 SD card merge before (shit happens).

On some models the sd card slots are reversed (e.g the top sd card slot is not necessary slot 1).

    Well I didn't notice lol.

Thanks for the reply Cipher. The damn things are too expensive to experiment with, I think the next time I get one in from the field I will try it tho. (Maybe)

    Yes

As far as I'm aware there is no install or un-install procedure apart from sticking the PS3 SD card in the correct slot.

You can merge (move) some* other SD card applications onto the Postscript3 SD card, but not the other way around as it will break the copyright protection of the PS3 SD card (a expensive mistake).

Of course if you have merged a app onto the PS3 card you should move it back to it's original SD card before putting the PS3 card into another supported model.

*But always check the documentation first as appi move operations can vary between models and some models require firmware updates to fix merge bugs.

I've never done an unistall on Ricoh PS cards, unless there were other app's merged to the PS card.
