    Aficio 551 with SC590

    Customer called on Aficio 551 with SC590. Checked manual which states toner collector sensor error. Is the most likely problem going to be a clogged recycler tube or is there something else more common? Frank/ActionPhotocopy

      It's definitely a clogged recyclers tube or a blind sensor attached to it,worth cleaning the whole recycling system, could be Blocked tubes,worn gears.

          Usually you end up with a SC495 if the tubes are clogged/locked up. Pull the collection motor off and check it before anything else.

                  The waste container was full and the recycler unit backed up. Took apart and cleaned out and replace waste container. All is well again. Thanks again. Frank
