    MPC3000 color printing restriction

Hey, All. I have a B230 set up with user codes, some restricted to black and white only. This works fine with copying, but printing can still be done in color even though I have the printer functions restricted to black and white only. I know I saw a similar thread on this a while back, but I couldn't find it. I have tried the universal print driver and the pcl6 with the same results. Any ideas?

On the WIM, under "user authentication management" Having the "PC control" box checked, rather than "black & white" and/or "Colour" boxes, will produce that result

Theres a Enhanced driver for this I Believe that opens up a pop up box on the PC asking for a user code Also IIRC we had to purchase a copy of said driver from ricoh when we had the same issue on the Original Athena Machines

You can enable pop-ups from the driver using Print Driver Editor (free from the Ricoh driver download site.)

Personally I would use PCL5 as I've had many weird problems with PCL6 ie ignoring staple commands, specific tray commands, so it may well be another thing to add to the list.
