Ricoh Aficio 200 64 bit drivers

Customer switched to 64 bit Win7 and now they can't print; I need to find 64 bit driver. Searched the web to no avail. Any alternatives to this?

Isn't it great how customers upgrade their systems and then are beside themselves, and try to make it the tech's problem, because their 15 year old copier isn't compatible.
You won't find the exact driver for that one. Hell, Ricoh only offers Windows 3.1! show your customer that on the webpage - maybe that will open their eyes!

If I was forced to, I'd just try using the pcl5 mini driver of another older system (maybe aficio 220).
While I generally use the exact driver on my installs, sometimes (rarely) I will use whatever I have pre-installed on my laptop (for example) for a quick test, or if a client upgrades from say a 2035 to an MP3500, I often just set the IP, and I'm done - never had an issue.
Like most manufacturers that use PCL, pretty much any driver will work with any model - at least for basic functionality

thanks, I tried 220 drivers and I was getting 'out of paper' error only. It's true that customers upgrade their computer systems (and all other stuff) but refuse to change the printer. That win 3.1 made me laugh so hard

Well...looks like they're going to be forced to spend a little more money and upgrade the copier too then -hopefully that's good for you

Have had some luck in the past using a generic HP4 or 5 driver. It should give you basic functionality but that is about it. They need to upgrade the machine if they want everything.

X2 ! You may even try an HP driver that supports duplex if they need that, otherwise "time for a NEW ONE"

                Try a 1027 driver.
The speed and configuration is close to the same.
Then bill them for the research costs.
The 1027 is an updated version of the 200 then 220 then 1027 then add #s the the first digit.
It costs money to re-write a print driver.
                I can print to a MPC 4500 with a 1045 driver.
It is SIMPLER than setting up codes for color printing.

Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Check the built in drivers already in Windows. Most older machines already have a generic driver built into the OS.

The more important question is how the user thinks that such a dinosaur of a machine will continue to play nicely with modern computers. Even in its day the 200 was a warmed over piece of crap.
