Re: mp c 4500 not loading black toner
You can try and clean out the toner pipe and the nozzle assy with the toner end sensor attached first, but it usually needs a new pump. common fault and probably answered many times on here in different threads. -
Re: mp c 4500 not loading black toner
Oh and i have had a couple where the dev drive gear has worn right down giving same fault, this occured when units have not been changed at correct pm counts. just something easy to check first.Comment

Re: mp c 4500 not loading black toner
Regarding SC536.
SC536 Third duct fan error
Problem: The machine does not detect the fan motor lock signal for 2 seconds after the third duct fan is turned on. - DID YOU DISCONNECT ANY HARNESSES when you were cleaning the pump?
Cause: Disconnected harness. Third duct motor overload. Defective third duct motor. Defective IOB
Resolution:
1. Check or replace the harness
2. Replace the third duct fan
3. Replace the IOB
Regarding BK toner not recognized (let's assume you have cleaned everything good - pump + hoses etc.):
1. Make sure you are using a GENUINE toner not generic junk - creates more issues than gives you an advantage in price.
2. Make sure toner bottle chip exists and not damaged
3. Make sure that toner Type you are trying to use is a correct one - it MUST be MP C4500.
4. If you cleaned the pump but it still doesn't recognize it - REPLACE a pump (part# B223 3211)
That is it. Good luck!Comment
