Re: Problem with card readers
I've had no problems with the card readers that we have supplied, all of which were purchased from Ricoh. You're probably going to be stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one as Ricoh will almost certainly tell you that the product isn't certified by them (unless it is, of course.)
Have you tried changing the standby times instead? -
Re: Problem with card readers
Hi Llama God and luke001
I do not know if reader is confirmed from Ricoh. We have called the importer for Ricoh and they said that they do not deliver readers. In Installation Guide from PaperCut is written that these readers are compatible with both, their software and also Ricoh MFD. Do you use PaperCut program? In case that you do have, can you advice me what kind of setup have you made on MFD.
We have increased the stand by time on one of MFD on max. 240 min. and know we test it. At the moment I can say that after 2 days it works without any problem, however, the customer does not accept this as a permanent solution.
We have also found out, that, in case that we disconnect the reader and then connect it again on MFD, it stops.
Thank you both for your reply`s.Comment

Re: Problem with card readers
I have great experience with a similar program to monitor prints, copies and scans. It also uses a USB reader, the application is preloaded on Java card . The problem is in collaboration with the Java - machine. When the machine goes into a deep sleep, sometimes awake. The machine generates the SC 819 and SC 990. The only thing that helps is to disable hibernation. Of course, I assume that you have set the advanced features - admin.tool - heap/stack size to the maximum.Comment

Re: Problem with card readers
Hi luke001,
yes I loaded zip. file on Java card and I have set the advanced features - admin.tool - heap/stack size to the maximum. I will try to disable hibernation and test the machine after that.
Thank you for your help luke001.Comment
