Possible to 'override' a jam to use scanner functions? Cancel scanner journal print?

I have a Savin C6045 that is giving me trouble. While I'm waiting on a new belt the printer has been down - which is fine, I have backups for it. However I have a ton of people that need to use the scanner function and for some reason now there is what appears to be a phantom jam (J001) and I can't find it anywhere. The belt is literally torn with a chunk missing so maybe that is setting it off. Regardless, what is frustrating is the fact that we can't use the scanner since the jam screen keeps popping up. When I do get a few seconds on the scanner screen it says "printing scanner journal" which it obviously can't do and no amount of hitting stop/reset will make that go away. Is there any way to override that jam so people can use the scanner function until the parts come in? Thank you.
