    R-2027/DF-75

Is there a sensor in this adf that causes erroneous misfeeds(originals stop). Will go in but not fully exit or even exit and then show misfeed??? I'm thinking there is one hidden under the 2ndary feed rollers.
    Thanks!!!

When it registers the misfeed, does it give you a code (like j-03). When it stops where is the lead edge of the original - before of after the left bend, or after the slit glass.

Does this happen in simplex or duplex mode or both?

Try and shoot some canned air through the paper guide towards the rear of the doc feeder, there is a senser hidden there and this sometimes takes care of it.

Clean Reg sensor. A bitch to get to, but gets dirty rarely.

Make sure Document length sensors on the feed tray are clean and width sensors are making firm clean contact. (Don't oil or grease them. Rub them with a pencil eraser.)

If doing duplex, check the guide for stickyness.

Last is the main ADF board. Rare, but possible.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
