    SC621 on MP3352 series

Machine has a internal finisher. I am trying to help another tech that has a couple of these beating on him. Both have a SC621 code from the internal finisher. Basically we have had to remove the finisher from the machine to get it to work. Machine tosses jam code 60's along with the SC621.

    Any ideas on this?

Sounds like a firmware issue or the wrong model finisher.

      Re: SC621 on MP3352 series

Had this the other day and found the answer on the RUK forum posted by a Ricoh Field Tech Spec (Top MAN! .... You know who you are!)

It's (Probably) a wire in the loom to the rear side jogger rubbing on the exit roller shaft. it will eventually wear through and short to the shaft causing the code. My machine had done 240k.

Remove the exit tray and cover, as you look into the cavity the sensor bracket is about 3" to the left of centre (Towards the rear of the unit) remove the centre and rear exit roller brackets and CAREFULLY inspect the wires to the sensor for damage. If you can get some heatshrink over the plug and onto the loom it should do the job as only one wire should be damaged. reroute and make sure the loom is away from moving parts (Including the exit drive belts!).

Tip: to get the sensor bracket on and off easily remove the 4" square cover on the back of the unit and the bushing for the exit roller shaft. this gives more "wiggle room" for the sensor.

      Hope this helps!
