Dirty paper output on Gestetner 3222 copier

I have a Gestetner 3222 copier. I finally got the paper pickup assemblies and clutch for the paper trays to work. However, the paper that comes out of the unit is dirty. I realize that the unit needs to be cleaned. What parts do I need to concentrate on? I would imagine the rollers, platen need cleaning. Also some of the loose toner needs to be removed. What is the best way to remove the toner? A shop vac or similar vacuum? I can only imagine that by wetting the toner will only smear it around and make it worse.

I also need to change the drum/photoconductor unit (PCU) on this machine. What is the best/cheapest source for these? I thought I saw one that is $79 somewhere.

    Thanks
    Mike

If the copy is dirty is it possibly not just the PCU charge roller is dirty?

Whats a total counter page look like is it a better copy with less toner on it?

It sounds like you haven't done too much of this type of work. You can easily do more damage than good if you dont know what you're doing.
      That said, clean the machine/

The page count IIRC, is about 528,000 copies. So it has seen quite a bit of usage.

So the drum/PCU unit by changing it may clear up a lot of the "dirtyness" ?

What thoughts do you have on using a vacuum to remove loose toner in the unit vs. using a cloth dampened to pick up the toner? I hate to spread around the toner vs. sucking it up.

Yes use a vaccum but it has to be one prepaired for toner use, special filter "KATUN" hehehe free publicity
you can use a home vaccum if you willing to throw it away after use.

I was emptying out my HEPA filter from my service vac into the bulk vac at the shop. There I was standing there holding the hose with my service vac attached and knocking it around to get every last bit of toner out of it.

If you had been there watching, you would have thought I was having an epileptic fit standing there on the concrete floor. The damn shocks through my 1/2 inch thick boot soles were just killing me. I'm gonna get me a rubber mat next time I do that.

Then again if I stop the little(?) shocks with the new rubber mat, the shock I get from the residual static charge when I walk out of that room and turn off the lights will probably kill me.

p.s. Don't kill your copier using the wrong vacuum near critical areas of the machine.

! first clean ol mirrrors, paperpathway then leave door open, cheat the door interloc and startcopy, if the paper is in the middle or bfor going inside d fixing unit cutoff power.check d copy f it is dirty,if yes then means its over toned,( u need to replace developer and recalibrate) f not its d fixing unit.rather u hav a dirty fixing try to clean or replace.gudluck
