mp2550 and win 8 scanning issue

I have a 2550 and windows eight problem, The file shows up in the folder for about 2 seconds, then dissapears, and then the machine says check the settings, even though connection to pc is successful ,
I have turned off smb 2, 3 and the firewall was being handled by the norton,thats off, win firewall off, 128 bit encrip off, i do this regularly but not with win 8,
anybody have this prob? or is there a fix out yet for this?
is there adobe?not compatable with ricoh firmware in a mp2550?
need help, if there is any, ill just tell the client go back to win 7 right? after all the fixes i have work for it!! LOL

Please (really, PLEASE) use the search function, this topic has been discussed, many, many, many times.

It won't work, at all, and Ricoh won't be updating the firmware for a lot of their older models (and even some of the new ones). I would highly recommend you get your customers to upgrade to Windows 7 (from 8) or buy a newer machine.

Alternatively, use FTP or email scanning.

According to Ricoh UK this week, the firmware is still a couple of months away.
