A wrong SC-code? That's new to me! So if the machine indicates a Fusing Unit error, the solution is formatting the HDD?
Next time when my car won't start, I will change all 4 tires...
It happen to me. Ricoh af1060 giving giving some error related to the fuser. we repladed all the possible parts in the fusing unit. in the SC HISTORY also showing the same error code. this problem has solved after formating the HDD, you belive it or not?.
THAT MEANS if you car is not get start, some time we have to check the tire also.
JEST IMAGIN:''' THERMISTOR IS OK. LAMP IS OK. THERMOSTAT IS OK THEN WHAT-------? BEFOR GOING TO BICU,POWERSUPPLY, CONTROLE BOARD. JEST FORMAT THE HDD WHAT LOSS.
There is a modified harness that connects the fuser to the IOB that covers 552, 553 and another SC I can't remember off the top of my head. Is the rear thermistor always dirty every time it pops this code?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
The other day I had some fuser issues on MP7500,lamps were blinking when hot roller starts turning.
I solved it with replacing conroller board...and ye that "new" controller board has some HDD problems that format solved,I'd say because of reconecting and stuff...
My guess is that old contoller board had problem controling voltages, culdn't power up all assy's propper.
I'd say you have some board defective but first be shure to change the shabang...thermistors,thermoswitches,even hot rollers if "for use" can give headaches, check harness and try it out.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
