Ricoh Aficio 1015/1018/1018D alternative to 1220D toner

Does anybody /still/ know, if any other Ricoh toner (not the bottle, the toner itself, maybe for larger machines) is identical to the toner used in 1220D bottles?

Please. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to find out why you would even want to experiment with something like that?

So you want to manually fill the 1220D bottles with other toner. It only gives a mess... WHY?

Just order the right flavour of toner and be done with it. Overthinking things like this or looking for shortcuts you don't need to will only end up in trouble.

someone had previously posted this regarding toner compatibilty:

Here is the info on the 2 families of toner you are talking about, the toners and dev's are all the same within these families only the amount in the bag or bottle is different.

#1 Ricoh 5105D tonerRicoh 6110D toner and Type 24 developer Family

          1130D and type 28

1170D and the dev in the 1515 PCU.

2120D and every machine that takes it (1027 PCU or type 28dev)

          3105D and type 18 dev.

Thank You, copyaction, that is the information I was seekeng for.
To all other wondering "what for": sometimes filling the toner is much quickier than ordering, and the customer can use his copier today, not tomorrow.

im kinda confused here"not the 1st time"
i ve used the 1027 drums on the older 320 drum machines and even on the savin 8025e machines.
are you saying these are two different types of toner?
              thnx

Or, always have a spare toner on hand with both you and your customer.

Exactly. Poor planning on the customers end does NOT create an emergency on mine- especially to the point where I'm going to start refilling toner bottles!
