[Dead] Ricoh Pro 1107ex not functioning

    Hello Guys,

Would you be so nice to give some advice on what we encounter on our copier. The machine is able to ping in the network but the WEB GUI was unable to access "404 Not Found". When we try to use the Copy feature, the OK button is always in red light and the paper was all ready in the scanner but copy is not running. When we try to use Scanner feature we can not use it, the button for Scanner in the panel has no light we can only switch in Copy, Print, Document. When we try to print using network, it was failed

    SC History was, SC991, SC406, SC420, SC424.

SC406, SC420, SC424, all these codes are related to imaging unit and revelation of the equipment, they will not stop the machine.

The SC991 is related to a software error that occurred with GW, this is probably your problem.

      My suggestion would be

      1 - format the hdd
2 - update the firmware GW equipment

          Formatting the hard drive.
          between SP mode equipment
run the code 5832-001, remembering that you will lose all settings address book.

To update the firmaware of GW, you need to follow the steps of the Service Manual, if done incorrectly you can lose GW.

Yes formatting HDD works! Thank you so much. No need to do the firmware upgrade of GW. It's fine.

Just as a work of caution on upgrading firmware, this machine required the system to be upgraded 1st, then the engine. If done the other way round, it will kill the system sd card. If you are unsure, the way to make sure you don't kill the machine is to select engine and system at the same time. The machine will decide what it wants to install first. This applies to all Ricoh machines not just this one.

The usual cause for this is the NIC card is set to '2' by default, instead of '1'. This is found in 5985-1.

Have you tried assigning the machine a static IP address?
