sc 672 - MP3351

Gentlemen,

I came across a weird problem with sc672 today. I replaced a new hard drive and able to reset the code but after I plug their network cable into the machine, the sc code reappeared. So, I unplug the network cable off the machine and formatted the new hdd with SP5832 and it works again. Moreover, if i tether a direct cable from my laptop into the machine then it prints fine (tells me the controller is working fine). What would cause the machine to freeze when the network cable plug into the machine? I had the customer clear the print queues on the server before re-plug. Any ideas is greatly appreciated.

Hi, please move the machine to different place and check with Different LAN port, then you will get result.

first update the firmware of the machine. if still the same try to isolate using a peer to peer connection.

Hi there!
About two month ago, i had a similar problem with a MPC5502 in a great school.After half an hour we found a three week old printfile witch was corupt and gave the sc-code. After deleting all printfiles who were in the printloop and restarting the system again, i never heard anything again. Hope this helps.
