[Error Code] MP c2051 SC 230,232,240

I have a c2051 that started throwing odd codes. First it was a sc240 and would reset and work for a few days. Now I'm getting sc 232 & 230's when a copy/print is started. The paper will feed to the registration roller and stop then display the 232 or 230. I checked all the connections from bcu to controller and all look fine and normal. I traced as many wires as I could and couldn't see any problems.

Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of this. Ricoh tech says to replace the bcu and control pcb. trying to avoid that if possible.
