Firstly check to make sure the ink cartridge is properly sealed to the drum, best to use oem, then their is an earthing wire behind a metal cover on the drum just to the right of the ink cartridge check if its loose(allan key),then use output mode (131,12) to check if the ink pump is working you should hear it,if after that its still not inking on its own open the drum and clean the sensor(wear gloves).

Are the copies blank? Or does the ink light stay on?If the copies are blank, remove the drum and check the "stencil" that the machine made against the light - can you see an image? Is there ink on the image? If you can't see an image - chances are there is a thermal head issue. If it does not pump ink - then there is probably an issue with the ink pump (inside the drum unit) and it would have to be opened and inspected. We once had one where one of the nylon gears in the drum unit broke, and it couldn't pump ink because of this.Let us know!
