I have a Ricoh MP 8000 that will not let you add a folder or email address in the address book. In the address book the email and folerd taps do not even show up. I have tried a hard drive intialize, address book intialize, turning on admin mode and logging in, and also tried to reset the user tools system settings to default. Any ideas?

Have had some problems similar to this recently where on a Savin C5050 the address book would not keep loaded and deleted every time the machine shut down and restarted. It also had problems updating firmware.
The Solution: Replaced the fax/modem board and everything worked correctly again!
Note: I did check the coin cell memory batteries on the fax/modem board and both were +3 volts!
As an additional note, I had a Savin C9025 that would not keep the address book in memory. To fix that one, I had to replace both the coin cell memory batteries on the fax/modem board!

Hello. I know it sounds crazy but a machine 1 month ago had the same problem, the problem was the ADF cable. I do not know why disabling the scanner but was solved with a cable that had to scrap the MP 6000. it sounds illogical but it worked because the cable probe on another machine and did the same.
