Have you programmed the username and password for the telkom email account?

This is the username and password that you would use if you went to www.telkom.net and logged in to the website to get your email directly from the web.

Without that authentication for the account, the machine will not be able to send the email through the telkom server.

There is a field somewhere in the web image monitor to enter that information. If you can't find it under the email settings (make sure you are logged into w.i.m. as admin.), I think you can enter it for each user in the address book under smtp authentication.
Don't take that toner with me!

          scan to folder

If you can't scan to folder check the firewall on the pc and make sure the path for the folder is correct

Sir try to input IP Address of your SMTP SERVER.... then on that SMTP server Allow access the IP of the machine sending packet to the network... on each user put there email address on the machine address book... then try to send scan to email.........
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

I see that you have authentication enabled... Does the server requires authentication??? instead of auto select try selecting login.

I would also try to send an e-mail through telnet to check if the machines is allowing e-mails.

if you can't get it to work with that SMTP server try installing IIS on a XP pro or 2k pro and that will be so simple..

start\definitions\control panel\add and remove\add and remove windows components. then scroll to IIS and check this box, apply.

Here is the info for IIS

Just remember that this will require a PC running XP pro or windows 2000 PRO and that PC must be on at all times if not e-mail will not work.

you also need to put a static IP on the PC and whatever IP address you decide to put will the the default gateway and the SMTP on the MFP

                    check out the attachment

                      hi
                      all ur info is right
                      but except few things
1: instead of smtp server name use ip address
goto command prompt and ping the server name u will get the ip
                      2.try one with authentication off
3.if authentication is on,check whether your username and password is right?
4.from the m/c when ur feeding the smtp server details u can test the server connection.

                      try theese all
                      gud luck

                        thanks advance
The Admin email address has to be a valid email address not the SMTP server name
smtp serve name change it to 125.163.29.154 not smtp.telkom.net.id try turning off smtp authentication you only need a usr nam/ psswd if the server requires it
also ricoh machines some times require the domain name in the TCPIP settings to resolve connection

                        Regards

Does this SMTP server require SSL? That model Ricoh doesn't communicate through SMTP servers that require SSL

As I understand it you are not sure where you need to input this information into the copier? Enter user tools, system settings, then file transfer tab and this is where you need to set the scan to email information. Hope this helps.

                                change smtp sever name

                                try this, change your smtp server name, instead of using smpt.telkom.net.id;
                                input : 203.130.196.196
                                good luck.
