[Misc] Ricoh MP 5500 , User code

Hello I have set up the copier to copy using the USER CODE When I enter the USER CODE I get the message displayed on the panel = you do not have the privileges to use this function = despite the fact that the USER CODE is correct. Do you know how I can fix this problem?
    Thanks!

Once enabled, then you need to assign the privileges for each user code.
    Ie: Scanner, copier, fax, printer

Make sure that you are first logged out of User Tools on the control panel.

If you are, you will get this message.

Oddly enough, the administrator has no rights to use the machine. Go figure.

I entered User Tools without code - so I do not use an administrator machine?

Panel is closed and I must enter the code, this means that I assigned the privilege for this user code ?

First you have to program which functions are limited (in this case copying). You have to program which authentication method you will use (user code, windows authentication etc.). Then give every user a user code and program which functions this user may use with this code.
BTW, it's all in the user manual...

Sandmanmac and Eric1968 have already told you where to find your mistake. On the Auth Info tab, once you have assigned a user code, you need to scroll through the other pages within Auth Info to find where the functions you wish to authorise use of are (usually page 3 of 3 on a black and white model) and select the functions you wish that user to have access to

Hello! I found the problem, but have not found how to solve it))).

                    1. When I create a new user and press the button AUTTH.INFO, it opens a blank window ( should be a field for entering the code). There is FOLDER AUTHENTICATION in the next window ,nothing else.
Address book management --> New Program --> Add a name --> Select the Auth info. tab --> BLANK

                    2. In ADMINISTRATOR AUTHENTICATION MANAG button USER MANAGEMENT is grayed out (can not turn on or off this feature).

Try to reset the System Settings to default (Press # and then System Settings). Then try to set up user codes again.

Are you working from the front panel of the MP 5500? I always recomment working on the addressbook using the WIM. This way you have a full keyboard to use is stead of a touch screen.
