Newbie Please help - Ricoh Aficio 1018

Hi,

First my aplolgies for my lack of knowledge!

I have just purchased a second hand Ricoh Aficio 1018 a few weeks ago.

All has been working well and I am very pleased, however there are now black lines appearing on everything when I print or copy - Do I need to clean/change something? If so what... The manual I received is very basic but doesn't talk you through any issues like this...

Any help/advice would be gratefully appreciated!

open the drum unit and clean the recycal unit problum will be solved,,,,, other wise repaleced the cleening balade or charge roller,,,,,,,

Messing around inside the drum/cleaning unit on these machines is a recipe for disaster. You will undoubtedly make things worse. This is a job for a trained technician. There is a very good Ricoh dealer in your area; I would strongly advise calling for help.

The Aficio 1018 is a good machine which has few of the issues of the earlier versions. I would spend the money to have it properly serviced.
