    [Error Code] Sc 672 /sc819 /sc995 mp5000b

    Dear Seniors,
Please refer to my last post about the same.
I am stuck with MP series units. The main issue is SC819 with two MP5000B and one MP3350.I have tried all but no success.Unfortunately controller boards are not easily available and if someone offers and the price is too high.
I need to know if it is possible to swap any component on controller board.MP5000B are without harddisk and ram .Please guide if it is possible to repair the controller board in workshop.I f someone have some cheap boards .I am interested too.
No unit accept "*#" or *107C or * 143 CCC etc.
How to access the machine sp mode or diagnostics with SC819/672/868/995 etc.Is firmware upgradation do any help or any action through WIM.

Thanking you all in advance for doing everthing for me even reading my post.
    regards

You have three machines, and all three have SC's related to the Controller, and the 2 MP5000 are without HDD and RAM??

You could try sending them to a board repairer, don't know if it would do any good though. You may just have to bite the bullet and fit the boards, it will be the only, guaranteed 100% fix.

      Edit:

      3350: http://www.recycledparts.us/D0195310...p/d0195310.htm

MP5000 one is on there too, can't remember the exact part number off the top of my head but it's one of the ones starting D012.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

          Sorry to bother you Sir.

Yes, I have 12 units in field and 03 out of them are with the given SC MP3350 is throwing 819. The other two are MP5000B and no ram and harddisk are installed in the controller boards. I cannot access SP mode in any way. one of the two MP5000B displays
          SC-819 with the following detail. " 564d 2069 7320-6675 6c"

              Re: Sc 672 /sc819 /sc995 mp5000b

              Or this?

SC819 [Sub code: 554C], SC870,or SC878 occurs if the main power switch is turned OFF after the B/W Scanner (MS) boots up and reaches the Ready condition.

              CAUSE
When the machine reaches the Ready condition after boot-up, the operator turns off the main power switch without first pressing the operation switch. As a result, the NAND flash memory on the controller board is damaged, triggering the SC.

              SOLUTION
              1. Please make machine users aware of the following:Before you turn off the machine main power, always make sure that the operation switch LED is not lit or blinking. If you turn the main power off while the LED is still lit or blinking, this can cause damage to the hard disk or memory.

Note: Cautionary notes explaining this point are already contained in the Operating Instructions (About this machine pg. 44) and on the decal next to the main power switch.
              2. If the symptom is reported from the field, replace the controller board.
