also does anyone have a clue on how to re format the ip address of a fiery ? the network wont pick it up after all the installation and such, the efi software does not detect it
Im assuming it was set up, its not mine it came with the machine , is there a default back door, or reset for the tcpip?

You can change the Fiery IP through the Fiery setup on the machine under the Fiery menu, or through Fiery web tools if you can access it via the web which it sounds like you can't. The log in cred's are admin and Fiery.1 for the default password. Don't reformat tyhe Fiery unless you have the system software for the device.

there is no fiery menu on the machine just the extra features, this why i thought i needed ip access, so there is extended features jave 7.0 bla bla, is just says loading and i was thinking it was looking for the fiery software, but after intall, it stays in loading and the network wont pick it up, probably corrupt sd card/firmware or am i looking in the wrong section for the fiery,,, umm its usually right on the op panel if im not mistaken, so then if its not on the machine then what?

Do you have a hard button that says Fiery, instead of a printer button?? If not you probably don't have a Fiery, There would also be a small pc style box connected to the machine with a cable.

If it just has JAVA and no JAVA APS, then it will only show "Loading" or "Starting Up" in Extended Features. If you have installed any JAVA APS, it will take you to the AP if there is only or give you a menu to select from if there multiple APS.

i did a re format on the HDD againt today, removed all the sd cards and still after a copy job of 55 pages it went into internal error, i turned on the sc from auto reboot to show the code, one was sc 364, k toner dens?and again with sc 367 cyan , im not sure but i think these relate to toner dens,peramiters, i tried a copy job in cyan only and it did it again, im replacing the machine this week. Client isnt happy with it anyway, its too big for thier office, so im putting in a mpc 5001, in great shape and it came from my stock not some place out of where ever... but thank you all for all the help.

good luck those codes are haunting 6501s everywhere all I can say is keep lotsa devs in stock and buy into the vacume filter stock market
