Re: strange brew
If i remember right there are push switches in the rear that say weather the tray is pushed in closed or not, i have had these switches play games with me indicating paper out as the tray vibrates. I can usually pop them out from the back and open them with a small scredriver and clean the black grease out and snape them back together cant remember if this model uses the switches or not, if you remove the tray and see the switch about center in the rear then it does. print and smc and see what the most jam code is weather is 003 or 004 which is tray feed, or 001 for power on. There is also a push switch on the right side of fuser i have also had these play games and will trigger a jam/alert for just a second when the door vibrates you can usually push in/out on the door towards the rear and it will alert on off if the switch is not working right.
One test is watch the lcd and wiggle the front of the tray and see if it throws off an alert, my other guess would be a paper end feeler the flag might be knocked out of place.Comment
