Re: How to clear fusing oil message on Lanier LD024C
Sandmanmac, thanks so much for your help. I did the SP7-804-011, checked to make sure the PM counter cleared, turned the main power switch off & back on. Message (with the telephone icon & "call service") re fusing oil low still flashing. Should I do a SP-1-930-001?Comment

Having said that, there is no problem with trying that SP (fusing oil add), it certainly can't hurt anything in my humble opinion.Comment

Re: How to clear fusing oil message on Lanier LD024C
I used to see a lot of these, and from memory you had to clear 7-914, try that. If its not that exact number I know it was in that range and was something like "oil counter reset". Obviously you need to have oil in the bottle at the rear of the mc and the oil unit needs to be in good shape. FYI this model was an absolute nightmare in every possible way - good luck.Comment

Re: How to clear fusing oil message on Lanier LD024C
Again, thanks to all for the help with this. Slimslob - I added 1000 ml type SS oil to tank in lower right-hand back corner of copier. It was almost empty to start, and this amount did not completely fill the tank. Is there a right way/wrong way to add the oil?Comment

Re: How to clear fusing oil message on Lanier LD024C
That's the correct place. I seen people try to add oil to the small reservoir on the fusing unit. I checked the manual and the oil end sensor is in the fusing unit. There are two tubes that come out of the top of the reservoir. One is a vent to allow air to enter as the oil is pumped out. The other goes to the oil supply pump and should be inserted far enough into the reservoir to reach almost to the bottom. Once the oil has been put in, the oil supply pump should start trying to fill the fusing unit reservoir. It may take some time for it to re-prime the lines. You can use SP 1930 to prime the system.Comment

Thanks again to all, and a big shoutout to turbojetboy. It was the 7-914 that finally cleared the message and made a hero out of me after the machine threw a SC 570. Can't tell you how much I appreciate all you guys and your willingness to help.Comment
