Printing mixed b/w and color

I really miss the RPCS driver. Not a lot of people used it, but some of my power user customers who did loved the features it gave them, especially my doctor's offices who loved the copy protection for patient records.

One of the biggest mistakes Ricoh made, and there have been plenty, was getting rid of that driver class.

I've been using the Universal drivers because it seems they're the only ones they keep updated, is there a better choice?

Me too, plus most of my customers have had bad experiences using universal drivers in large corporations across multiple servers so trying to get them to change is a nightmare !!

I swear I posted this info somewhere else, but HERE GOES!:

Send each individual page to the doc server on the machine as you intend it to be from the print driver as a color or black & white document.

Next, step to the machine, compile your pages in the order that you want them to be at the doc server and print them out.

VOILA!

...your page color count will be counted correctly!




PS--If they consistently use one of the pages as say, the outside of the bulletin (color), they can leave that on the doc server and only update the internal page of the bulletin (usually B&W) from sending to the doc server from their computer and compiling at the MFP.
