    Memory All Clear :(

    Help!!

One our engineers was having a problem with logging onto the Ricoh web browser on an MPC3500, he tried a few things and then decided that the only thing for it was a Memory All Clear! however he didnt bother to print out the SMC data first.
I am at a complete loss as to where to start with this machine now, and how to get everything back upto scratch. Would it work to copy the data from another machine of the same model? please help?

    Thanks in advance

Well your having a very bad day so far!!!!!!! you will have to manually enter all the sp data, hopefully you can find the Factory data with the machine!
That being said you can use the non default data from another machine of same model to get it close to where it should be. You will have many tweaks to get everything just right. That would be mostly laser and color alignment.. Good Luck!

The factory sheet which includes the non default settings when the machine was released from warehouse may help you.
It should be behind the jam instructions card within the front door

It's not something I've ever had to deal with, but I'm pretty sure each machine has its own specific settings and alignments as they are all individually setup. So copying another machines details may not work, but it would provide a good platform to base your machines settings on.

I'd give your engineer a little smack for that.

The engineer who did that needs not only a smack, but a good beating as well. One of the ironclad rules I have is no memory all clears without having me, or tech support, say it's okay. Granted I only have one part timer with me that I trust, but I figured for future use I may as well put that rule into place.

So i've input the cheat sheet data, and were looking ok barring a colour calibration issue (will do a fine line adjustment to sort this), however one of the codes that it says to put in is 4803-001, which doesnt seem to be a code on the machine?! am i missing something?

            Any advice greatly appreciated.
