    mp2551 copy quality issue

I have a mp2551 prints are good density, copy faded? I have cleaned the mirrors, lenses and tried the settings pale, generation ext, it set to text and was working fine,
any ideas would be helpful im hoping its not the image control board , but to have it just start dong this is odd, it has 112k on the drum unit, but as i stated the prints are good.

mpc 2500 purple to blue in word doc

I have a mpc2500 color is stellar, prints are almost exact when printing form everything but word, the document in word has a purple logo scroll that comes out blue not purple.
ive printed off the internet all the pinks and purples are what they are on the screen,
any suggestions,( I told the client to use a diff program hahaha, but she dont have anything else to do this with)

      Change the PCU.
This regularly happens towards the end of its Lifecycle, and 112K is nearly double, so it doesn't owe you or the customer anything.
I know, your printing is ok, so it doesn't really make logical sense.
I've never figured it out exactly, or had it explained, but it happens.

It has nothing to do with the program. Purple is a range of hues made from red and blue. I suggest changing either the magenta or cyan PCU. Run an auto color calibration and check what the magenta and cyan look like on that page to know which one to change.

ok i ran color cal, color test sheet looked good, but i check it again and see . but if they print from a different screen or program, there is little if any visible color diff.?
          thanks for the insight.
I agree about the pcu on the 2551 i think this has happened to me before now that i think about it, the pcu was the issue.

You have two different machines with two totally different problems. Why didn't you start two different threads? It would have made it easier to follow each.

I was biting my tongue, but I can't argue with that logic

Usually around 90K on the PCU, most of my low volume machine start getting drum spots. Sandmanmac is right. Do a 60K PM with drum and at this point the developer also. Otherwise in about 15K the developer is going to go south in a hurry.
