It's me again. I have the bloody manual for the Ricoh Aficio 1060, but we have one in the field showing SC 992 and there is no such code in this manual. What the hey? Anybody know what it is and what to do about it? Any help would be much appreciated. I don't get why it's not in the manual.

You might have an early edition of the service manual. SC 992 was added to the manual following TSB 063 dated 1-27-2004. It is contained in the copy I downloaded 6-1-2004.
Undefined software error. Goose's Guide says replace charge wire or replace charge power pack. You could try re-flashing firmware. If I remember correctly this model still used the PCMCIA card in stead of an SD card for firmware. This will present a problem if you do not have a PCMCIA card, a computer with a PCMCIA I slot or the software to write to the card.
If you have another machine, you might try swapping components. If you do, make sure to keep the correct NVRAM with each machine.Comment
