In the moving image I have on my computer at home, the machine gun is actually firing. That is what I was hoping to have for the avatar.

The forum might just re-render animated gif's to still images - less stress for the eyes (imagine everybody would have animated avatars here - CTN would appear like these awful geocities-websites back then lol)
