    Ricoh Aficio 2015, pcu

Remote customer out of my territory complains that copies has smears on it. Before I go there I think I should get a PCU # B1212200. I would like to know if with that number I will get a complete PCU with developer and drum or must the developer be purchased separately. Since I am, regarding Ricoh, a noob (you guessed it already) I would like to know what set up procedure is necessary for a Aficio 2015 to install a new PCU.

    Thanks in advance!

I believe that it is only the PCU case assembly. In the latest parts catalog the developer is pictured outside the dash line box indicating it is not included. Also, there are different part numbers for the developer depending on location, B1219640 for Asia and B1219645 for north America and Europe. I am not certain about the drum. I usually order the PM kit PMB12160K, drum B0399510, and developer. Fusing PM kit is PMB121120K.

Complete PCU comes without developer (Type 28), but it can be expensive. Rebuilding the PCU takes about 20-30 minutes, and it saves you some money.
After replacing the complete PCU with developer or after rebuilding the PCU run SP2-214 to initialize the developer.

          B121-9640
          B121-9645
          DD11BLK
          K162
          Type 28

Are all the same. Just make sure it has Type 28 Developer written on the box.
