I had the same issue. When it would not beep or feed I had 3 sensors that wouldn't change state in input mode. the original set, paper present and #1 width sensor. I replaced all three sensors and it took care of the issue. All the photo interrupters are the same so you can swap them. some have a different part # but they are all now the same # AW02-0203. The ones with the white connector is the old style. good luck

I had the same issue recently, but found the puzzle about ADF input check SP6007-09 , the manual says Value of Bit 0, "0" Paper not detected, "1" paper detected.
when entry into the SP6007-09 and found the value was 1 there, after loading the original, it DID change the value become 0 , remove the original, changed back to 1. It caused me reversed meaning in term of explanation of the manual. the same confusion as SP5803-201 platen cover sensor, Although ADF tested OK. IS IT THE SENSOR FAULTY?
As a result, ADF happened "intermittent", Checked and tested onsite several times, all fine and went through.
I know this is an old treat, sorry for that, but old treats can also be usefull... (as if old people...)
I have the same issue at a customer on two (!) c3002 which are both standing on a carpet in the same room.
It is the only customar which have this problem and on both machines!
So, i think this must be the electro static electricity created from carpet via shoes that makes the sensors to break.
The problem now is that (sometimes) the original set sensor doesn't detect the original...
SP5803-201 (DF set sensor on machine) is working fine...
Via sp6007-9 there is no changing from 0 to 1 when sensor is interrupted, so sensor is broke.
Last year it had the same problem in the same period! So i ordered anti static carpets where customer is standing on when he uses the machines.
And... it worked, at least for 1 year! But the problem was not totaly gone, it was always there but much less then without those carpets.
