[Misc] Printer Counter

Hi all

I have a client that have a ricoh Mp5001 they wanted printer counter for user only.

I have shown them that they need to activate user authentication & select Printer
then on basic authentication, printer job auth select entire.
i configure the printer driver :detailed settings -job setup - user code etc. All configuration done.
Reset the printer counter to zero.

They print as normal. About one month they take printer counter & they saw that its was not accurate.

My problem was that when they print the printer counter they have the 'other' that have some print in there
the 'other' was on the printer counter sheet near & down of total or sum.
That causes some issues for me. How to solve this issues. can i removed the other in service mode.

It sounds like you have the 5001 configured to print all jobs whether there is a valid user code or not. Proper configuration of the 5001 will prevent a job from being printed if it does not have a valid user code. The data light will come on while the job is being received and then the job is dumped without being printed. Check the security manual for proper configuration. If they are printing 11X17, that can also throw the counts off depending on setting in SP mode.
