You're going to have to give some more info if you expect a reply. Any particular color? Where are you on the PM cycle? What have you done so far?

I'm betting that it started after a memory clear was done in an attempt to resolve another problem.
      Let's see.....

X2 - Below is info I've posted previously for this issue.....

        xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Background when ADS Mode is turned Off

        [Symptom]
In Full Color the background is a process black, In Black and White mode the background is gray. With ADS on there is no evident backgrounding. When ADS is turned off and exposure is at the center setting, backgrounding is exhibited. Print Jobs and internal prints do not have background

        [Cause]
The gray balance adjustment NV RAM Data has been corrupted (or more likely memory has been cleared as stated by sandmanmac) and has reverted to the default value
        [Resolution]
Reset the value of SP 4685 - 001 and 002, SP4686 - 001 and 002 and SP4687 - 001 and 002 to the value on the Factory Data Sheet.(Located under Jam Instruction Sheet on the Front Cover)
If the Factory Data Sheet is not available try starting with these settings and fine tuning as needed.

        • SP4685-001 to -26 SP4685-002 to -26
        • SP4686-001 to -6 SP4686-002 to -6
        • SP4687-001 to -16 SP4687-002 to -16

          Re: MPC3500

If it is just on copying it could be that the optics should be cleaned.
From a purely technical standpoint I found it fascinating to see how dust in the optics could refract so many different colors in so many different ways.
On the other hand, based on the poor information you provided this could be a stupid waste of time and money. Who knows.

as teebee said you need to return setting to factory sheet

Reset the value of SP 4685 - 001 and 002, SP4686 - 001 and 002 and SP4687 - 001 and 002 to the value on the Factory Data Sheet.(Located under Jam Instruction Sheet on the Front Cover)

What did you do to "clear" the SC 460? That may be where your problem is.

                    Now we're getting somewhere!
As I guessed in my original response, you did a memory clear to try and resolve this, right?
But for some reason, you don't think that any of that original information needs to be included?
And what "original settings did you "adjust"?

                      Re: MPC3500

This background I'm guessing that it's machine reading white areas as pinkish and printing them like that
It culd be that he did Engine clear instead of Fuser SC clear...5801 instead of 5810...and nether one was required for 460 (I culd be wrong tho).
Yet engine reset culd temporary solve
SC 460----Separation power pack output error
An interrupt checks the status of the power pack every 20 ms. This SC is
issued if the BICU detects a short in the power pack 10 times at D(ac).
Damaged insulation on the high-voltage supply cable
Damaged insulation around the high-voltage power supply.
                      1. Replace the high-voltage supply cable.
                      2. Replace the high-voltage power supply unit.
                      3. Replace the IOB.
It messed up BICU board and readings are all wrong because of initial voltages thus ignoring power leaking...just guessing.
On the other hand I had MPC 4500 that wuld mess up copy every time it is powered off and back on,I insert values from birth certificate, try it and it works like a charm...tomorrow morning we get a call "It's all wrong again"
I'm not sure why that happened,I doubt users culd clear engine there because they don't know how,nor wuld they dare use internet solutions from FIXYA...they wuld suffer my wrath!
So it was a long shot but I guessed it was some wierd NVRAM problem,I reinserted values back again, downloaded NVRAM on SD card and uploaded it again...so far it's working.
                      I guess shit happens.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
