mp c300 wont print from windows 7

Customer just called me stating that they are updating from Windows XP to Windows 7.
They loaded the new print drivers PCL6. Now the computers with 7 can't print, but the XP computers are still printing.
I'm just trying to get a few ideas before I drive the 60 miles to the account.

    All input is greatly appreciated.

    2 words - "user error"
There is no difference in the driver from one OS to the other -other than using 32 bit or 64 bit where applicable (Compare the version #'s and file sizes for yourself)
Heck, an Aficio 2027 driver will print on the C300 -only B&W though .
    It's all just PCL

Have the customer check that their firewall software is not blocking TCPIP printing. McAfee is known for doing so. If the user does not read the firewall message before clicking "Block" the first time they try to print, they have to get into administrative mode on the firewall and remove the block.

Customers IT must have figured it out. They never logged a service call for me to respond to.
I was pretty sure it was an error on their part.
        Thanks for the input.

Try to check SMNP protocol and eventually disable it.
Can you ping the machine from Windows 7
Check if Port Is correctly configured. Sometimes mistyped in name port and Ip port.

You don't have to move.... move datas instead. Use a VNC or RDP or Teamviewer connection.

          See you!
