    MPC 5502 PM counter

    Hi

I have a few mpc 5502's and all have around 400k black and 200k colour. I have never had any problems apart from emptying the toner collection.

I have always ways delt with MPC 7501's and the PM counter is on the first screen when you go into the service screen but on this machine it is not. Only the normal System and printer etc. I have looked in the sub menus and can't find the PM counts to actually tell me what each unit like a drum can do before it needs changing. I can see the counters tho for these.

Can an anyone understand all that :0) and tell me where the counters are to say what the limits are of them like on the 7501's etc.

    Mamy thanks. Tim.

If you run SP 7803, you should be able to get sheet counts, run time and %value of a particular unit. If it's over 100%, it needs to be replaced. Hope this helps, but if you're just looking for a list of PM yields this may not help.

They do go a long way on all the main components, but I am very surprised you havent had to rebuild / replace the fuser with those counts?. Fyi, I think you will be coming up for a full set of drums soon. All in all a reliable machine with fusing being its main weakness.

Hiya. Thanks for the info, that's all I need and understand on the percentage. Wonder why they did that. Canon use to I think in the day.
I have a spare fuser as I heard they could be bad but all seems to be great. They only run 80gsm all day and I heard problems occur when using card stock and different temps.

        Thanks guys for the help
