Dear All,
I did it successfully
I used 0.1 ohms fusible resistor
I checked the current with M.meter and observed that it pumps more than 1A current at certain time
Not really because I can use mine as many times as I want.
So what happens when you get an SC 544 but the fuser is fine ? just because Ricoh says you have to replace it doesn't mean it actually needs one.
I do the same, using an old thermistor lead from AF8000 type. You're right, faster and easier than fuses! I also leave the top fuser cover off for speed.
We used to do similar on old Brother fax machines back In the day.
