Serial No's

Hi all

Have heard you can tell the year and month of manafacture of a Ricoh by its serial no. can anyone tell me how to do it ????

On the newer machines(2011 up) the 4th digit is the last digit of the year of production and the 6th digit is the month with 1-9 = January - Sept and A = Oct B = Nov C = Dec.
Older machines(2000 - 2011) 4th digit is still last digit of the year of production but digits 5-6 are a combo factory/month code.
