Hi. I have had a look and I can't see it. The manual is crap on these newer machines. Is the ac drive board just behind the internal RIP once swung out then behind the main board? This is my first 8002 I am normally on 7501's etc.

I have found it....Doh. One of the boards I took off and put to one side. Thank you.

I remember it as lower left from the back, behind some boards and a little hard to get.

Nope only a fuse and one board.

Don't know if it is free in your country, but worth investigating.

Turn machine off - remove power cord - press and hold power off button - Now safe to remove boards without getting zapped

Hi. Thank you. Does that mean they will do a swap for free? I thought it was a case of letting the power go before I take it out but thank you.

Hi. I have a dead MPC 8002. Customer went to use it this morning and it won't switch on. I have had a look and it must be the PSU. Before I pull it all apart has anyone had this and found it to be something else silly or a common fuse blowing. I have checked the plug and power :0)

Hi Tim

Ricoh has a modification program running for this model regarding PSU failure/replacement.

Be carefull to use the correct shutdown process or you will get an electrical shock when grabbing the PSU...

Hi. I have a dead MPC 8002. Customer went to use it this morning and it won't switch on. I have had a look and it must be the PSU. Before I pull it all apart has anyone had this and found it to be something else silly or a common fuse blowing. I have checked the plug and power :0)
