That or install the TWAIN driver and a software that can use it and do a pull scan. Many IT departments do not allow the use of FTP.

You can also setup a Linux machine with a SAMBA server.

That only corrected a problem with SMB1 scanning to Window 7/Server 2012.

firmware scanner upgrade for RICOH MP C2500 window7 professional

That only corrected a problem with SMB1 scanning to Window 7/Server 2012.

Just a follow up on this for closure,

I have a question. Why did the service provider send you the firmware instead of sending a tech out to install it?

I have no idea, I'm not sure what is and isn't covered and the particulars of the customers contract with the provider.


In the end I just flashed the special firmware and everything worked as expected. (needs testing on Windows 10 next oh lawd!)

Hmm so the one I have been sent is not the correct version but the one in that thread looks to be the one, would that work ok on a UK MP C3000 copier?

Ok so the service provider is telling me the firmware they have sent me is in fact the modified version but I am still a little sceptical,

I have;-

from the service provider B2385605L.rru - 4.17 MB (4,374,240 bytes)

from the post here Remote_B2385605L_LRC0451.rru - 4.17 MB (4,377,532 bytes)

Could anybody with the modified firmware tell me what size it should be? (this is for a UK MP C3000)

I just want to make sure that I have the right firmware before going back to the customer & I would be not feel comfortable loading firmware from an internet download unless I am 100% happy it is the correct one.
