MPC 6501 has green tint when using adf

Anyone have any ideas why a mpc6501 would make color copies with a green overcast on all other colors? Copies off the glass are fine. Two sided copies thru feeder are ok on second side. Optics are clean and i even flipped the scan glass. When sending prints from computers all are ok. Calibration was completed for copy and prints. Attached is a color copy thru adf of calibration page which shows green tint.

My guesses. The adf isn't installed properly which usually causes skewing or jamming but maybe in your case causing a colour issue? The adf board under the back cover is damaged? The mylar on the underside of the adf is dirty? The slit glass is cloudy and needs to be replaced?

Two sided copies thru feeder are ok on second side.

So, it scans the second side from the glass and the first side is from the adf scanner, as i see from the brochure it is a
        • Standard 150-sheet DF for single pass color duplex scanning.
        • Then you will have to be looking at the adf scanner, check connection to scanner, and reinstall. If same, then you may have to replace the adf scanner ccd assy, not the glass ccd
        • Please note, i do not work on this models, but on other machines i have seen similar issues, but the principle on how they work is the same i would think.

I was just thinking of this again. the above will apply if there is an adf ccd scanner. I see there is a mode that is called sadf and i don't know what it is really. single pass usually has a ccd scanner.

From the title of the thread I expected to see a green background. In stead I see that the black has a green tint and the cyan might be a little to the aqua side. This tells me that the original is not being seen as black. Depending on whether you are using "Full Color" or "Auto Color", try the other selection.

If the colour on the reverse side of duplex copies is OK then the CIS inside the ADF should be OK. Is scan to file OK through the DF?

This could almost be a case for memory clear but that's mega last resort. If it's OK in some modes and not others that would tend to discount a hardware fault.
