The SMC report is your friend (5-990-4)

I have seen lots of cases of the paper end fence being missing or away from the paper.

I had one the other day with the option tray, one nice thing is they put a back cover on the option tray so you dont have to lift off the machine to see the clutch and motor, the one did wouldnt feed at all (less then 3k total on machine), i took out the clutch and poor some alcohol inside the gear slapped it around in my hands a bit, then put it back in and reseated all the motor and clutch connectons haven't heard back since that was 3 weeks ago.

I had 2 new tray 2 units with no feed problem - the metal plate was not pushing enough on the rollers - bent it at Little and then it was ok.

          Hi there!
Also an option is to update the FW of the PB1050, there exist the version "C" for tray 2 & 3. This helps against c 502/503 & the lift performance is better.
          Greetings...

I had broken paper end sensor causing jam on these little fuzzers.
