    Ricoh MP5000 and MP4000

Does any one have experience interchanging controller unit (CTL) of MP5000 and MP4000?
I changed MP5000 CTL to MP4000 then SC995 rappers which is mismatch of controller
Should any one have solution for this error?

        Thanks for the reply

As per parts manual you are correct but I checked both CTR are identical in component level view. I may assume it may different in firmware wise

I remember the Aficio 3025...to fit the Aficio 3030 controller you had to set one bit switch to "on", because of the different speed..... I'm not sure if this works on a Mp4000...you should check the switches in both machines

              YES! Install the right controller!
They wouldn't have different P/N's if it was a simple bit switch setting!

I believe that one of the chip soldered to the board is a Programmable Logic Array that is programmed for the required model.

                  Yes slim you may correct
However is not worth keeping un necessary spares, if they can have same CTL for both models

Dear slim actually what is the different between MP5000 and MP5000B

The MP 5000 has embedded scan/print. The 5000b is just a copier. There is a scan/print option for the 5000b that requires a scan/print sd card hdd and memory dimm iirc. also the 5000 can scan in color the 5000b scan/print option only does b/w scanning.

You mean "B" is basic copier
