Unknown Part D124 cw2200

We got a CW2200 in (not new) and this part, it's a cover for something, was included in the box. This is a long shot, but can anyone tell me where this goes? I only posted this after an exhaustive stroll through the parts catalog with no luck. 3D blows.

From what I could find it seems that the cover in your photo is part of the carriage (see the attached screenshot from the service manual).

Look at the photo on the right of the attached page - it seems pretty close.

Boy, that does look awfully similar. Thanks for the pic. The machine was placed into the field today, but I gotta go back next week to finish setting up the scanning. I'll look at it then. Have a good weekend!

Thanks man. You too! Funny there is no reference to it in the parts manual. That is why I tackled the replacement and adjustment section in the service manual hoping for a photo of sorts.
