MP 301 - "Communication Result Report" on error only?

I recently had a new fleet of MP 301's installed in the office that I support (I am the IT admin)

Its been... interesting but for the most I am very happy with the new features that we have figured out how to utilize.

One thing that I cannot figure out and that is driving me nuts - is there any way to print a TX fax confirmation (aka called "Communication Result Report" by the Ricoh settings) to print ONLY on an error? The setting to turn it off and on is pretty easy to find under Configuration/Fax/Fax Parameter Settings/Communication Result Report - On or Off, but I have found nothing for error only.

In the X years I have been in my carreer and XX fax machines I have seen from a large mix of manufactures, I have never seen one that didnt have this option.

Am I missing something really simple?

    Thanks for any help!

user tools/counter > fax features > initial settings > parameter settings

switch 3 for the confirmation page . bit 0 is for the confirmation page set to 0.
switch 4 bit 1 is for the error report. set to 1.

Wow, thanks for the crazy fast responses, and I guess this definitely show my noobness!

"Bits and switches" - do I need to be in some sort of a service mode to access settings as such? Or... can anyone provide a link for a general explanation of configuration in this manner?

        Thanks again so much...

No service mode needed, all these settings are in user tools: Changing the User Parameters

I think pretty much every MFP with fax gets set up that way, with the rare exceptions for customers who require a report for all (or no )transmissions.

You'd think it would be a standard, but it's not. Fortunately, it's fairly easy to change.

Made these exact changes and it looks like we are good to go.

Its a bummer that this is not a "simple" setting (needs switch/bit settings which are useless without reference) but Im glad its all changeable.

I will definitely be perusing the linked online Ricoh help/manual more often and before I post.

              Thank you both so much!
