[Misc] Ricoh MP201SPF Bit Switches

Hello everybody,

I got a problem with a MP201SPF machine.
It is used as Fax as well, and it works fine if it receive a fax from a compatible machine. But when it receive a fax from an old fax machine, the image is very distorted.
I understand that it will help if i will change Initial Rx modem rate from 33,6 kbps to 14,4 kbps. I found in manual the Bit Switches to do that, but when i enter SP mode on the machine, I don't know how to change it.
I mean I enter the specific Switch (G3 Switch 06 [SP No. 1-105-007]), but I cannot change it (I don't know how to).
Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Changing the initial RX modem rate from 33.6 to 14.4 is normally for when you cannot receive for an older machine at all. If you are not trained on how to change bit switches, do not attempt to do so. You could render the machine incapable of receiving.

But how about explaining how to do it and let me decide if i'll do it?

There is an example of how to change bit switches in the service manual, find it. If you do not have a service manual, get one or do not attempt to work on the machine.
