Scanning - Ricoh MP C2051

Hi everyone !

i'm trying to scan an A4 document on the original glass , but the MFP understand the document is a Letter (Sideway & lenghtwise). i've changed the system metric to mm (SP 5-024) but still the same, any ideas?

If doing Scan to folder or scan to Email, press Scan Setting form the Scanner Application, Select Original Feed Type and change the orientation setting. Once you have it set correctly program the defaults. This is all covered in the Operation Manual which can be downloaded from Ricoh.com

actually , the "problem" occurs when i set the scanner to autodetect size of original on the exposure glass, A4 recognize as 8,5 x11

If the machine is set for the US market, A4 will be detected as 8.5 by 11. Also. are you doing scan to folder or are you doing TWAIN scanning? My earlier response had to do with your question as to the orientation and it still applies.

Does the machine detect A3? If it does, then you have a faulty paper size sensor. Does it detect it as A4 from the DF?

DF has detected A4 / A3
Exposure Glass detects A4 as 8,5x11 and A3 as 11x17

I'm trying to scanning to folder and e-mail , the machine was bought on the US market

It used to be SP 5807 in previous models. Might have been moved to factory mode SP settings as 5807 does not appear in the 2051 Service Manual.

You might also want to check 5131 and 5181.
