Can someone pls help. Why is the machine not detecting the ADF. I replaced with another ADF same. I've checked the cable and they are OK.

I cant remember but that wasnt the model with the bad ADFs was it, the ones that blew the PCB if the wrong firmware was installed? One of the guys might have to chime in on that, it was a while ago and not sure if it was that model.

Thanks to you all. I have resolved error code issue. It was the thermostat. But we still need to get the ADF working on this printer as well as firmware.

I too was thinking that but he never said it happened after the machine is ready and sits for a while..
I ve had the pressure roller lamp issue too.was kinda wierd it came to ready had me thrown off at first..

The purpose of the pressure roller lamp is to maintain pressure temperature during copying. Open thermostat or open lamp both result in the pressure roller only getting heated by the fusing belt during idling. This will bring the surface of the pressure to ready temperature but very quickly after multiple copies start being made, the temperature start to drop off rapidly and the code is thrown.

I will agree with this. I have to go out numerous times on machines where another tech has replaced the thermistor only to have problem re-occur. Bypass the thermostat while I order a new one and problem is gone.

I'll stick to this. Seen it many times when the machine is in stand-by and thermostat is open. The error shows when the machine goes out of stand-by in a lower energy state (the stand-by light is off and only the power light is on).

SC 565 IS A FUSER AND OR A PSU problem..

SC 565	Pressure roller fusing lamp consecutive full power 3: replace fuser unit assembly

check the lamps,thermostats etc and theN swap a wrking PSU

Hello,
I need firmware for MPC2050. Also the printer is not seeing the ADF at all. I replaced the ADF with a similar one from MP2550, still did not see it. The printer also shows error sc565 if left for some minuites. I need help pls

why would the printer need to see the radf?
did you double check all connectors from/to the rADF AND CK FOR STAPLES,PAPER CLIPS?
CK FUSES?
