    Ricoh MPc5000 sc565 are there any serv bulletins on this issue?

    I am looking for information (prefereably Serv Bulletins, not Svc manual I already have that one ) for this error, SC565 (Ricoh MPc5000 )
    Thermal parts have been changed unsuccesfully.

    Machine with different issues all the time, as a matter of fact any service bulletin folder/collection for this model is welcomed.

      SC 565 PR lamp full pwr >180 secs - A level code, reset with SP5-810
      SC 565 PR lamp full pwr >180 secs - replace PSU
      SC 565 PR lamp full pwr >180 secs - check thermistor with SP1-106, replace as needed
      SC 565 PR lamp full pwr >180 secs - Replace Fusing Unit

          565 is usually the pressure roller stats being blown.
          It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                  No bulletins for this code but if you have to replace the fuser the Printer model is cheaper and fits with an easy modification.

                      Good luck with that - IIRC this fuser does use an inductive heater.


                      Does the fuser at leat get noticeable warmer until it hits the SC? If not, you might deal with a faulty IH coil unit or IH inverter board.

                      I also managed to trigger the bi-metal fuse while cleaning the area - thought this was an infrared thermal sensor

                      I was able to reset the fuse pulling the metal with some hot glue and a tiny screwdriver - totally legit methods^^

                          Check continuity of the thermostat where it connects to the IH inverter board. If it reads open, Ricoh says to replace the entire IH coil assembly. As a temporary fix, by pass the thermostat at the connector.
